Ganus Family 50th Wedding Album

This is an older project that I did years ago.
I loved the way this album turned out.
When I created this album I was not thinking about putting the pictures online as it was more then 2 years ago. The haziness that you see in the photos is from the fact that the pages were already placed in the plastic sleeve protectors and the camera I used to take the pictures. Maybe I will be able to get some pictures of my Aunt & Uncle's album with their photos in them at some point.

I used a lot of metallic gold throughout the album to represent the 50 years.
How exciting to be together 50 years; I am so happy for them!

Now down to the basic "How did you do that?"
The numbers were actually silver metal to start off with -so I used a gold ink (Delicata Golden Glitz) from Imagine Crafts to apply over the top. Once dry I used Versa Mark and added embossing powder while the embossing powder was still wet I dipped the front of the numbers into a mixture of the Champagne Crushed Glass Glitter, and Mica flakes from Stampendous . This gave an amazing added touch to the main theme of the album. (I normally use the "Clip Tool" by Stampendous when working with small items & heat.)

Next up using the same method was the die-cut sticker ribbon strips. Again this was not the color I wanted (they were white) so I made it match the rest of the other items I wanted to incorporate. Stampendous Frantage method makes this so easy to do and it created a continues color & feel that flowed throughout the whole album. Repeat the step above I used on the numbers. I did do this in a long strip & cut the pieces that I needed where.

Another fun item that I incorporated was taken old text from a book and spritzing it with Imagine Crafts Fireworks in Summer Sky & Shimmer Mist in Gold.  The mist would be put down then dabbed off to make the color weaker. Sometimes I will mix both onto the same surface making it really wet then dabbing off with a paper towel. This will mix the color into the surface & helps to dilute the stronger color. (I also believe that I used the Shimmer Mist in Sparkle over the finished color to get the look & feel with dazzling shimmer.)

I made a small envelope with a Velcro flap. It contained more punched leaves, so that they can add family members to the leaves & glue onto the tree. (I might have used a different method to close the envelope but I was thinking it was Velcro).

The clock was covered in Versa Mark then Chunky Clear Embossing Powder repeated several times until I got the thickness I wanted. ( The clip tool is very handy to use here) I also heat from the bottom this allows you to get a thicker surface. Once good & dry you can crack the top of the clear coat by hitting it with something heavy like a Crop-a-dile or small hammer. I practiced this method before I actually did it on my final piece.

These images were popped up to add dimension
The Paper used in this book was a mismatch of papers. Many of the main printed papers were from Webster's Pages. I love their old designs and have purchased them over the years. The metallic papers are bits that I have added to my collection of paper. Most Ribbons are from May Arts & a few from Webster's Pages. And a pocket to add a few more pictures, cards etc.

Mini-Mini Album/Card to Navigate a Moment

Had a great time making this quick fun Ship card or mini-mini Album.
It is a fun idea to share many thoughts along with a few pics to give out, display or keepsake.
I enjoyed every aspect of this project.
It takes just a few items to get this great look.
+Stampendous  Cling Navigateur CRW087
Imagine Crafts Staz On in Black
Alchohol ink markers
White cardstock, 12 x12 sheet print, & Vellum
May Arts Ribbon
Tiny Bottle

I was able to get this look by using Staz On ink
by Imagine Crafts
 & Alcohol marker inks.
I really liked  how this gave a worn feel & look.

Front cover of the mini-mini up close.
I used a coin token charm & bottle to the outside tie.
The bottle has a piece of vellum that was ton and crumpled.
Then stained with alcohol ink, just take your brush tip and run across the whole piece.
Once dry roll small & place in jar.
Tie twine around the neck & add token.

Take a 12 x12 & cut into two stripes of equal width.
Then take & adhere the last square & first square to the each other.
This will create a small according.

The ribbon is attached to the front cover of the mini-mini & then place the Ship image on top.

A Bunch of Valentines Cards to enjoy!!

Here are some fun Valentine Card ideas.
We made these several years ago but still think they are some pretty cute ideas.
Hope you enjoy them.

Many of the cards are easy and just using scraps.
Most of them are card fronts then glued on the card.
We had a blast making as many cards as we could.
We had a card making party. Super fun!!
Hope to do it again soon.
The Love in this picture is an acetate piece.

Doily, cutouts and ribbon help make the cards have more dimension.
Diecut embellishments
 &
an early drawing from my daughter that I made into a paper doll.
Using the computer to get the right phrase for each card
-print on colored cardstock.
Felt hearts give dimension.
Foil paper and tissue paper scrunched up and shaped.
The bird is from a punch.
I make several of these and store them up for later use.
Try using scrap paper that is not big enough for anything else.
 Tulle & lace.
Try varying print colors when making phrases on computer.
Fringe punches used on paper to add to the card.
A big lacy bow and stickers to top it off.-Sweet
 Alphabet sticker letters.
Sweet lace, free cut heart and a button.
Super simple but great design.
The soft delicate print of the paper gives this a shabby chic appeal.

WE hope you enjoy these fun designs & get some inspiration on your journey into the next holiday season!
